"Understanding Sleep" (Part 1 of the “Sleep Class” Workshop series at the Student Counseling Center)
Did you know that 17 hours of sustained wakefulness leads to a decrease in performance equivalent to a blood alcohol-level of 0.05%? This 45-minute workshop provides basic information about common problems that may interfere with getting a good night’s sleep.

“Don’t Let Facebook Eat Your Life” Panel Discussion
Join us as we have experts discuss how to use social media in a smart way. Our panel will discuss who has access to what you put online, how to connect with others online in a healthy way, and how those pictures from spring break that you stuck on Facebook might come back to haunt you someday. This is information you won’t want to miss!

“How To Help Students In Distress”
Faculty Brown Bag Presentation
This is an hour long presentation aimed at faculty and staff, although students are invited as well. Presenters from the Student Counseling Center will talk about how to recognize students who are in distress, approaches for talking to the student about their problems, and resources that could be helpful for faculty and distressed students. The presentation will include time for questions as well.

"Relax and Connect with Others" (Part 3 of “Maximizing Your College Success Class” workshop series)
Learning how and when to relax can have an impact on your college success and this workshop will help with both aspects. In addition to that the workshop will include reasons and ways college students can get involved on campus.

Zumba Dance Class
Exercise has a big impact on mental health, and dancing is a great way to connect with other people. Join us for a high intensity dance class that will leave you out of breath and feeling great!
