This instructor-led class will no longer be offered after December 2009.
Workplace Violence Prevention is part of the required training for new employees as outlined in OP 76.10. For those benefits-eligible staff members hired before August 1, 2009, you are required to take a separate Workplace Violence Prevention training. If you have not been able to attend training before now, this class is for you. In this instructor-led class you will learn:
* How to identify potentially violent behavior
* How to recognize the signs of escalation
* Ways to minimize the escalation
* When to get the police or other help involved
* What you can do to protect yourself
