Athletic Sales Rep Job Description
Job Title: Athletic Sales Department Ticket Sales Representative
Compensation: This is a paid part-time position
Reports to: Ticket Sales Manager
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
Assist the Ticket Sales Department to drive revenue through new and repeat business. The Ticket Sales Department is responsible for all revenue goals associated with a selling season, partial and group ticket plans. This is achieved by:
*Prospecting business at Texas Tech home basketball and football games
*Selling tickets through business to business calls and face to face campaigns
*Making 50+ calls in order to produce and promote sales
*Fielding inbound calls and attempting to up sell individual ticket requests
*Coordinating group sales campaigns and maintaining accurate account information
*Representing Texas Tech University at community events
*Resolving customer needs
*Maintaining up-to-date knowledge and effectively communicate all team happenings, events, ticket promotions, and arena details that are relevant to the general public and or specific clientele.
*Anticipating, responding to, and resolving all complaints, requests, and inquiries from defined account base; handling difficult situations in a calm and professional manner, ensuring that each fan interaction results in increased loyalty to the team
*Assisting in delivering customized programs, benefits and events to drive overall revenue goals
*Assisting the ticketing office in various other day to day business activities.
*Working additional game duties as assigned by Ticket Sales Manager
*Working assigned shift plus certain game days.
Qualifications:
* A strong desire to work in college or professional sports
* A competitive and strong work ethic
* Junior or senior level or a post graduate degree program.
* Residence in the greater Lubbock, Texas area.
* Ability to work nontraditional schedules including weekends, evenings, and holidays on a part time basis.
* Experience in a sales/customer service environment preferred.
Must be able to work Monday-Friday at the following shift time:
9 a.m. – 1 p.m. or 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.
