The 2nd Annual RCR Conference
The TTU Ethics Center, the TLPDC, the Office of the VP for Research, and the Graduate School will host the 2nd Annual Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) Conference on Monday, April 16, 2012. The Conference will be in the Student Union Building (SUB) from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm.
The keynote speaker, Kenneth Pimple, Ph.D., is the “Director of Teaching Research Ethics Programs at the Poynter Center for the Study of Ethics and American Institutions, . . . He has over ten years of experience in organizing faculty workshops on ethics and research ethics. Since 1993 he has directed the Teaching Research Ethics project (TRE), which offers an annual workshop for researchers from the sciences and other fields. . . . Since 1999 he has directed Scientists and Subjects: An Online Seminar on the Ethics of Research with Human Subjects, an annual seminar funded by the National Institutes of Health. . . . He has authored or co-authored successful grant proposals totaling more than $1.25 million.”
