You are invited to attend a special entrepreneurship seminar hosted by the Whitacre College of Engineering Dean’s Council. Ken Baker, Executive Chairman of Baker & O'Brien and a Texas Tech graduate, will give a presentation on his success as an engineer and an entrepreneur in engineering, economics, and business. The seminar will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at 3:30 p.m. in Petroleum Engineering 121. Free pizza will be served.
Biography
Ken Baker's expertise combines engineering, economics, and business. He is directly involved in litigation support, arbitration, accident investigations, insurance claims preparation and review, feasibility studies, appraisals, mergers, and acquisitions. Over the last 30 years, he has provided damage assessment and business interruption evaluations for almost every major petroleum and petrochemical accident in North America. He has testified in State, Federal District, and U.S. Bankruptcy court as well as local and international arbitrations.
Ken is a Professional Engineer registered in Texas and has over 40 years of experience in chemical, gas, and energy-related operations. His responsibilities have included process design and evaluation, in addition to project analysis, development, and management.
