The Master’s in Art History at Texas Tech prepares students for doctoral studies and for many careers, including museum and historical society work, civic arts programs, editing and journalism, art criticism and curation, and teaching.
Students may concentrate in the following fields: Ancient Circum-Mediterranean art, Medieval European art, Renaissance and Baroque European art, 18-19th century European art, Modern and Contemporary art and theory, and Pre-Columbian art. The program also supports two trans-geographic areas of concentration: History of the Book as Art and Borderlands & Contact Zones.
