Missed the Ethics Panel Session on FERPA and Student Data?
You’re in luck: We recorded it.
PART OF THE TLPDC/TTU ETHICS CENTER SPRING ETHICS SERIES
Last week, 68 faculty, staff, and students attended the TLPDC/TTU Ethics Center panel discussion on the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and learned about how to handle requests for student information.
Brenda Martinez (Office of the Registrar), Dr. Jorge Iber (College of Arts & Sciences), Sofia Rodriguez Chapman (Student Judicial Programs), and moderator Dr. Andrew Canham (Ombuds Office) discussed the rules and procedures for releasing and protecting students’ education and disciplinary records. Attendees also asked plenty of questions during the session.
If you missed the discussion or would like to refresh your memory of what was said, the recording is now available on the TLPDC’s Video Seminars page: http://www.tlpd.ttu.edu/content/asp/video/index.asp
Do the right thing. Strive for honor.
