You are cordially invited to attend the XIII Annual Céfiro conference organized by the students of Spanish and Portuguese within CMLL.
This year, the conference's theme is "Pop Cultural Manifestations in the Postmodern World." The conference will begin on Thursday, April 12 at 4:00 PM in the Qualia Room (FL 09) with a history of Céfiro as a student organization by Dr. Janet Pérez, Paul Whitfield Horn and Qualia Professor of Romance Languages. On Friday and Saturday, the sessions will begin at 9:00 AM in the Escodido Theater at the SUB.
The keynote speakers this year are Dr. Emil Volek (Arizona State University) and Dr. Ana Merino (University of Iowa). Both keynote addresses will take place at the Escondido Theater on Friday, April 12 at 4:00 PM and Saturday, April 13th at 4:15 PM.
Light refreshments will be served. This is a free event and open to the public.
