Job Description
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

Instructor will teach first-generation students with limited socioeconomic backgrounds in Multimedia with an emphasis on Film Making for a five (5) week program from June 4 - July 3, 2012 on the TTU main campus. Classes taught will be held M- Th from 1:30pm-4pm.

• Use of software such as Sony ACID music studio software, Windows Movie Maker, and Audacity to guide students through the process of film making - from coming up with the idea, to writing the script, setting locations, to filming the project, editing the project and adding music
• Small project creations such as: video scavenger hunt, news cast, and one-minute mini-movies
• Small project creation should lead up to 1-3 small group movie projects to be submitted to the TRIO National Competition: TRIO Media Quest
• Keep UB staff informed by maintaining records of academic performance, attendance, and social acclimation; reporting on all elements of student development at staff-teacher meetings, both regularly scheduled and as-needed;
• Provide student support services by monitoring student activities; and
• Updates job knowledge by attending faculty meetings; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications & maintaining professional networks.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Proficient knowledge in computers and multimedia equipment, Classroom Management, Verbal Communication, Resolving Conflict, Presentation Skills, Self-Motivated, Motivating Others, Listening, Collaborative Teaching - 9-12, Deals with Uncertainty, Objectivity, and Confidentiality.

PREFERRED SKILLS
Multimedia/Film making experience is preferred. Preference will be given to individuals that have succeeded in overcoming the disadvantages and circumstances such as those of the targeted population.
