ESPN College Gameday, the premier pre-game college football show in America, is giving fans the opportunity to bring the crew to the college campus that generates the most votes. The College Gameday crew will visit the winning campus during the summer to film a commercial promoting the upcoming season.
Beginning Monday, fans of more than 120 schools can vote for the chance to have ESPN College GameDay visit its campus by visiting www.GameDayVote.com, m.GameDayVote.com on mobile devices as well the official Facebook page at facebook.com/collegegameday.
Fans are allowed one vote per day.
ESPN College Gameday made its only stop in Lubbock back in November of 2008 when Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard and Chris Fowler were on hand to watch one of the greatest games in college football history as Texas Tech defeated No. 1 Texas 39-33 in front of a national television audience.
The Red Raiders will return 18 starters (nine on both offense and defense) as well as 49 lettermen this season and will host one of the most exciting home schedules in school history. Texas Tech opens its 2012 season at home on Sept. 1 against Northwestern State while the Big 12 home schedule includes Texas, Oklahoma, West Virginia and Kansas.
