Annual Enrollment Fair
ERS will host a series of Annual Enrollment fairs and live webinars across Texas from June 25, 2012 to July 13, 2012.
Texas Tech’s annual enrollment period is July 16, 2012 through July 27, 2012. This is the two week opportunity that you will have to make enrollment changes.

Monday, July 9, 2012
9am to 12pm; Information Sessions beginning at 10:30am
International Cultural Center, 601 Indiana Avenue
• If you are unable attend a fair or webinar, recorded presentations will be available online to watch at your convenience. A schedule of events is located on the ERS website, http://www.ers.state.tx.us/Events/Annual_Enrollment/.
• In July, ERS will send you a Personal Benefits Enrollment Statement and information about your Annual Enrollment benefit choices.
• Annual Enrollment will be conducted in phases this year. Your enrollment phase will be shown on your Personal Benefits Enrollment Statement. Texas Tech’s annual enrollment phase is July 16, 2012 through July 27, 2012. You will have two weeks to make enrollment changes.
Special this year—HealthSelect Information Sessions
ERS will also host a series of information sessions to give HealthSelectSM of Texas members a chance to meet with representatives from the new third party administrator, UnitedHealthcare. These sessions are not enrollment fairs and will focus only on the HealthSelect plan. They will be held throughout Texas starting on July 16, 2012 and ending August 10, 2012. There will not be recorded versions of this presentation to watch at a later time. If you are unable to attend this session, please attend the Annual Enrollment Fair or watch an Annual Enrollment Fair presentation.

Which session should you attend?
Annual Enrollment Fairs: Employees can compare HealthSelect and HMO benefits (such as copays and coinsurance) and learn about such benefits as Optional Term Life Insurance, TexFlex, and Texa$aver.
HealthSelect Information Sessions: Employees will learn about the new HealthSelect NurseLine, health and wellness tools and discounts, and disease management programs, as well as how to create an online account on September 1, 2012.
Updates on HealthSelect Transition
As part of ERS monthly updates to HealthSelectSM of Texas participants about the third party administrator (TPA) transition to UnitedHealthcare on September 1, 2012, they have updated the TPA Transition FAQ with instructions to call UnitedHealthcare if you need to designate a network primary care physician (PCP) for September 1, 2012. Also new this month is the release of the updated, http://healthselectoftexas.welcometouhc.com/index.html, website. ERS has added information about services that will be available on September 1, 2012, as well as a News and Updates section, a Contact Us section with the toll-free UnitedHealthcare Customer Service number, and more.
In July, ERS will add Annual Enrollment and HealthSelect Information Session materials to this website. You’ll see placeholders for information that will be updated later, so be sure to check the website in the coming months.

If you have questions about HealthSelectSM of Texas coverage as of September 1, 2012, you can now call UnitedHealthcare toll-free at (866) 336-9371 or 711 for TTY. Pharmacy benefits for HealthSelect will continue with Caremark.
