Governor's Small Business Forum
The Lubbock Chamber of Commerce 2012 Governor's Small Business Forum is designed give small business owners essential tools to help their businesses succeed, provide jobs for Texans and strengthen the economies of the South Plains.

TWC will present information on the many services available for small business owners including the newly established $2 million Skills for Small Business fund, which provides grants to community colleges that small businesses can access for employee training needs.
Frank J. Kenny, author of, "The 7 Secret Laws of Society: Social Media Essentials and Strategies for Small Businesses and Associations", will discuss key components of an effective Social Media Strategy. Participants will also have the opportunity to meet subject matter experts from:
- Small Business Development Center
- Lubbock Economic Development Corporation
- U.S. Small Business Administration
- Workforce Solutions
- Texas Tech University Office of Purchasing and Contracting
- Texas Tech University Center for Entrepreneurship and Family Business
- South Plains College.
The forum will conclude with the presentation of the State of Texas Small Business Awards. Members of the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce may register for a discounted fee of $20 per person. Non-members may register for $25 per person.
