The Dr. Sarah Kulkofsky Scholarship will provide scholarship support to at least one undergraduate researcher at Texas Tech University. An undergraduate researcher is defined as a current Texas Tech University undergraduate student engaged in a research project under the guidance of a faculty mentor. The 2012-2013 scholarship award(s) is $500 per student, with $250 dispersed in the fall semester and $250 dispersed in the spring semester. Applications will be reviewed by the Center for Undergraduate Research (CUR) Advisory Committee. The recipient will be recognized during the CUR spring banquet on April 25, 2013.

Dr. Sarah Kulkofsky:
Sarah Christine Kulkofsky, began working at Texas Tech University as an Assistant Professor of Human Development and Family Studies in 2007. During her time at TTU she excelled in her position and received many accolades. “Dr. K” as students often referred to her, truly loved research, her students and instilled her thirst for knowledge in them. Dr. Kulkofsky passed away at the age of 30, on January 13, 2011. Texas Tech University students, faculty, and staff established the Dr. Sarah Kulkofsky Scholarship in her honor.
