Celebrate HOLI March 30th

The South Asian Student Association (SASA) and the Cross Cultural Academic Advancement Center will celebrate Holi on March 30th, 2013.

On Saturday, March 30th, join us at the Festival of Colors at 5:00 p.m. at the TTU Rec Fields. The Festival of Colors is where family and friends throw colored powders at each other to celebrate the coming of spring. The Festival of Colors will also include cultural performances, music, free food and t-shirts. Please dress in clothing you do not mind getting dirty. The traditional dress asks people to wear white to the Festival of Colors. White Holi t-shirts will be available for free at the Festival of Colors.

Holi is an annual festival celebrated on the day after the full moon in the Hindu month of Phalguna (early March). It celebrates spring, commemorates various events in Hindu mythology and is time of disregarding social norms and people of many faiths, cultures, and socio-economic status indulge in general merrymaking.
