Looking for a summer job that will make a difference in a young person's life?
The Cross-Cultural Academic Advancement Center (CCAAC) will host the Native American Summer Bridge Institute (NASBI) on the Texas Tech campus from June 16-21, 2013. Participants of NASBI include Native American high school students who will be rising high school juniors this summer. The five-day program will include college preparation workshops, introductions to academic courses, and college student life activities.

The CCAAC is currently seeking Texas Tech students who are juniors, seniors, or graduate students to apply for the positions of NASBI Mentor or Residential Counselors.

Eligibility Criteria:
  • Experience working with high school students preferred.
  • Experience working as summer camp staff preferred.
  • Applicants with Work Study eligibility preferred.
  • Must be an upperclassman or graduate student.
  • Must be available to attend NASBI Residential Mentor training and other summer camp trainings during May and June.
  • Other employment is not permitted while working during the dates of NASBI—June 16-21, 2013.
  • Preferable if applicant has a valid driver’s license and pass a criminal background check.
