A Monthly Barn Dance with the Tech Irish Set Dancers and the TTU Vernacular Music Center!

On Saturday August 25 at 7pm, join the Tech Irish Set Dancers (http://techsetdancers.com/) and the musicians of the TTU Celtic Ensemble (http://ttucelticensemble.com) to inaugurate the new MONTHLY BARN DANCE at Yoga Bean Coffee Shop & Yoga Studio (3135 34th, http://www.yoga-bean.com/).The event is co-sponsored by the Vernacular Music Center (http://vernacularmusiccenter.org). Players, singers, dancers, listeners--all are welcome. Admission is free; all ages, family-friendly.
A “barn dance” (England) is a friendly, accessible dance event, combining tunes and dances from many European and American traditions. Both experienced and novice dancers and players are welcome to attend, learn, and participate. Free and accessible instruction will be available to all!

About the Tech Set Dancers:
The Tech Set-Dancers (http://techsetdancers.com) organize vocational social dancing, based on the TTU campus, and invite students, staff, faculty and community members who are interested in learning, teaching, and sharing the traditional participatory set-dances of Ireland. The Company performs at concerts, educational and collaborative events across the region, and also offers free instruction to newcomers, Tuesday evenings 7-8pm at J&B Coffee (26th & Boston).
