OLLI & Alumni Assoc. present "Immigration in France and the U.S." April 29

Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) & Alumni Assoc. present, "Immigration in France and the U.S.: A Historical and Cultural Comparative Analysis" April 29 at 2pm

In the case of France, the relationship between colonization and immigration is based on an "internal liaison"  (Balibar) and an assessment of the philosophical foundations of French universalism leads us to re-think from a different and productive prospective. Join us as we compare the histories and structures of the U.S. and French immigration movements. Instructor is Hafid Gafaiti, an Andrew Mellon Distinguished Professor, Paul Whitfield Horn Professor of Romance Languages and Jeanne Charnier Qualia Professor of French and Francophone Studies.
