Need Volunteer Hours? Are you a fan of Dr. Seuss and Frozen?
Children's Literacy Festival

What is Jumpstart?

Jumpstart is a national nonprofit organization that pairs highly trained college students with preschoolers to provide one-on-one tutoring in school readiness skills. Every year, Jumpstart volunteers organize story readings and activities associated with books that are familiar to young children.

What Is Jumpstart Doing to Partake in the Children's Literacy Festival?
Young children will participate in a variety of activity booths. These stations are led by volunteers and Jumpstart Corp Members. Each station involves a hands-on activity that corresponds to books such as "Cat in the Hat", "Where the Wild Things Are", and Frozen's "A Sister More Like Me".

What Can I Do?
An organization can choose to sponsor an activity booth with 3-5 volunteers by supplying materials. A supply list and station instructions will be provided. Also, individuals can choose to volunteer with available activities.
