Asexuality Panel

Maybe you've heard the term "asexual" or perhaps you haven't. Maybe the only thing you know about the word asexual is what you learned in your Biology class. So you might wonder why exactly a person would call themselves asexual. Asexuality is, simply defined, a lack of sexual attraction to anyone and according to research, is prevalent in only 1% of the world population. Unlike celibacy and abstinence, asexuality is not a choice, but an innate part of the person who identifies as such. Every asexual person experiences relationships, arousal, and attraction differently, which means there are many stories to share and hear.

The Tech Feminist Majority Leadership Alliance invites you to a panel on asexuality where our three panel members will be sharing their stories and answering any questions you might have about what it means to be asexual. We invite students from the Texas Tech campus and everyone from the Lubbock community to join us on April 25th, in Mass Comm. 83 on the Texas Tech campus from 6:00pm to 9:00pm as we share what it means to be asexual.

This announcement is represented by a registered student organization.
