THE PSYCHOLOGY OF ART: Graduate Seminar, Fall 2014
The Department of Psychology is offering a graduate seminar on The Psychology of Art, for Fall 2014. The focus will be on "aesthetic science:" interdisciplinary theory and empirical research on how one produces, evaluates, and experiences art from philosophical, psychological, and neuroscience perspectives. Aesthetic Science defines the contemporary manifestation of psychology's long-standing interest in the arts and aesthetics. This course will focus primarily on visual arts, but students may develop research proposals for other appropriate media and topics (e.g., music, art and technology, art therapy). Interested graduate students with little our no psychology background are also encouraged to consider this course, PSY 5001-21, CRN 22265, and to contact Dr. Philip H. Marshall for more information and consent to enroll (philip.marshall@ttu.edu).
