Do you have vision loss or low vision?

We are looking for adults with significant vision loss (macular degeneration, retinitis pigmentosa, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, etc.) to participate in a research study titled “Multisensory Integration During Progressive Vision Loss: Pilot Study.” This study has been approved by the Institutional Review Board of Texas Tech University (806-742-2064). The objective of this research is to better understand how people with vision loss use other senses to function in their environment.

Participants will be asked to make judgments about scenes created by a computer, and complete standard vision tests (e.g., eye chart). They also will complete surveys.

Participation is approximately 2 hours. Participants will be paid $25 per hour. Scheduling is flexible. The project will be conducted in the Psychology Building at Texas Tech University.

Participants must meet all qualifications set for the research project. This will be determined via email or telephone.

If you are interested in participating or would like further information, please contact Megan Johnson (megan.d.johnson@ttu.edu or 806-834-0116) and provide an email address or phone number.

This study has been approved by the Human Research Protection Program at Texas Tech University.
