RUF: Large Group -- Ecclesiastes
From time to time we're all faced with the question, What is the meaning of life? Sometimes it comes after immense pain. "What's the point?" Or it comes in the wake of a great success. "Now what? Haven't I made it?" Sometimes we work and study hard. "All this work and for what?" Or maybe it's the fun nights we have with friends. Do they at times feel empty and vain? Tuesdays this semester, Reformed University Fellowship is discussing Ecclesiastes, a book of the Bible about this most important of questions.

Reformed University Fellowship at Texas Tech believes that the Bible is not simply a history book detailing events long past or an ethics book telling how we should live today or even a book of philosophy. Yes, it is these things, but more fundamentally, it is a book written for us to come to terms with a person, to see what he has graciously done in the past and to understand how we ought to respond to his work. Indeed, the purpose of the Bible is to renew the world and to reconcile people to God by teaching how to understand the person and work of Jesus Christ so that our lives might be changed by believing in him.

Starting at 8:00, we eat snacks and socialize, and around 8:30 we have worship music, and then our campus minister gives a talk. If you'd like to know more, you're welcome to e-mail the originator of this message and to visit our website.

Christians and skeptics alike are welcome!
