Congratulations Graduating Veteran or Service Member!
In honor of your upcoming graduation, the MVP staff invites you to our TTU MVP Graduation Stole Ceremony. MVP staff members will present each of you with your camouflage veteran’s stole which you may wear at graduation. A TTU upper level administrator will be our honored keynote speaker.
Date: Thursday May 15, 2014
Time: Ceremony Remarks begin at 1030
Location: The Helen DeVitt Jones Auditorium -TTU Museum
Free Parking: The Helen DeVitt Jones Auditorium -TTU Museum West Lot
Refreshments: Lite snacks and drinks will be provided immediately following the event
Photos: Each veteran or service member will be photographed as stoles are presented
Logistics:
• Sign-in will begin at 1000
• Check-in at our registration table where you will be given a Notecard which includes:
• Your Name
• College/Degree
• Branch of Service
• Rank
• You will hand your notecard to the MVP staff to read off your information as you are awarded your stole
• Dress is business, business casual
• You may wear your graduation regalia if you wish
• You may bring guests to the event
• If you have already checked out or picked up your stole for personal pictures, you must bring that stole back to the MVP department prior to the event or with you to the event.
To Do by 1200 Wednesday May 14, 2014:
• Please send an Email to let MVP know if you plan to attend the ceremony or not and how many guests you plan to bring: mvp@ttu.edu .
Notes:
• If you have received this notice in error and are not graduating this semester or are not a veteran or service member, please let us know by email at mvp@ttu.edu. Also, go to your Academic Dean’s office to get your Graduation date corrected on the TTU Banner system.
• Students not attending the ceremony may pick up their stoles starting at 1400 Thursday, May 15, 2014.
• Veteran or Service Members who are not using benefits through the MVP department who wish to be recognized and receive a stole MUST bring a copy of your DD214 Member 4 or current military ID and a copy of current orders to the MVP department no later than 1100 Wednesday, May, 14, 2014.
