Instructor: Christine Granados is the author of six books, including Brides and Sinners in El Chuco as well as biographies for young adults. She has published essays in Texas Monthly and Texas Observer, has worked as a journalist for several newspapers and was inducted into the Texas Institute of Letters in 2014.

The first day session reviews the author biography. It also offers methods that can be used to enhance your author biography. Furthermore, the workshop provides:
Strategies for writing an author biography
Exercises and templates for writing the query letter

Resources for possible places to publish
“Best practices” sharing sessions with colleagues and authors
Multi-media resources that can be used at home
A completed query letter to use when submitting a manuscript
