The Graduate Student Advisory Council is on Facebook & Twitter!
The Graduate Student Advisory Council (GSAC) is an organization of graduate students dedicated to enhancing graduate student life at Texas Tech University. In addition to our monthly meeting & open forum during the regular academic year, you can find us online:

Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/ttugsac/
Twitter: https://twitter.com/TTUGSAC
Email: gsac@ttu.edu
Website: http://www.gsac.ttu.edu

Although we don't have regular meetings in the summer, we still have events and workshops planned for graduate students. For example, this Sunday (7/13), we are co-sponsoring a viewing of the World Cup finals in Jones AT&T Stadium! We announce these activities on Facebook and Twitter and sometimes through Texas Tech email. And as you'll see in our announcements, we are committed to making our meetings and workshops held on campus accessible to distance education students online too!

GSAC

GSAC members collaborate with TTU graduate students, graduate student organizations, the Student Government Association, and the Dean of the Graduate School to address graduate student issues, produce academic and professional workshops, host social events, and participate in community service. We are also active members of the National Association of Graduate & Professional Students (NAGPS) and participate in state- and national-level legislative lobbying efforts on behalf of graduate students.

All graduate students at Texas Tech are automatically members of GSAC, and we welcome everyone to our regular council and commission meetings as well as to our workshops and events. The GSAC works through regular meetings of the elected council and through the work of its commissions focusing on specific issues of importance to graduate students. Our meetings include an "Open Forum" where graduate students may voice concerns and issues in an open and safe environment.

The Graduate Center

All graduate students are welcome to use the recently opened Graduate Center to study, meet, or relax anytime throughout the year. The Graduate Center is located in the west wing basement of the Administration building. Finding the Graduate Center may prove somewhat difficult if you have never been there before. You can use this link to help you find the best building entrance and look for the admittedly small Graduate Center signs. We believe you will find it well worth the effort of finding us the first time!

Please like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter for GSAC, campus, local, and national news & information relevant to graduate students at Texas Tech. And let us hear your ideas, questions, and concerns!
