All student organizations who receive funding from the Student Government Association must attend a funding training session. You may not use your SGA funds until your org has met the following requirements: 1) currently registered org; 2) met risk management requirements and 3) attend SGA funding training. For questions about registration and risk management contact the Center for Campus Life at 742-5433.
The purpose of the SGA funding training is to inform officers and advisors of the proper policies and procedures to follow when using your SGA funds. We will discuss reimbursements, payments to outside vendors, payments to speakers, and travel. Your organization must be represented by two officers. The attendance of the advisor is not required; however, it is recommended especially if the organization travels. If one of the officers cannot come, please assign another officer.
The number of sessions provided this year has been increased; however, if you cannot attend one of the sessions your org will have to meet with Katherine Taylor personally.
