The World Food Programme is the United Nation's frontline agency in the fight against hunger and the world’s largest humanitarian organization. WFP continually responds to emergencies, saving lives by getting food to the hungry fast, and as students of this organization we assist in advocating for all of the above. We will do this through events and activities across Texas Tech Campus and the surrounding community. Our organization is founded on values that reflect those of the World Food Programme and are in accordance to Universities Fighting World Hunger. We are currently the only university in the whole state of Texas with an organization like this. Our goal is to educate students in world hunger affairs in hopes that they are inspired to make a change in such a solvable cause. We will do this through non-monetary ways as well as small monetary donations that are feasible for college students. Come learn about all the activities we will be channeling our efforts through on September 10th as we kick off the semester with our very first general meeting. It will be held in the SUB Mesa Room at 6:00p.m. I hope that you find the courage and will join our movement as we begin to change the world.
