Texas Tech will kick off the annual State Employee Charitable Campaign (SECC) from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. TODAY (Sept. 2) at the West Club Level of Jones AT&T Stadium.

Stop by for snacks, fun and prizes. Attendees will have the opportunity to interact with 30 different agencies that benefit from donations made to the SECC.

A presentation of highlights from last year's campaign will begin at 4:15 p.m. and departmental awards will be handed out.

Door prizes include:

  • Set of Official Texas Tech Ornaments
  • Tickets to the President's Suite for a Non-Conference Basketball Game
  • An SECC Pack (lunch kit, multiple pens, flashlight, and cell phone stand)

The SECC kickoff is a way to make your donation early and learn about the tremendous impact that your donation and many others have on the Lubbock community.

What is the SECC?

In 1993, the state legislature created the State Employee Charitable Campaign (SECC) to provide an easy way for state employees to give to their favorite charities through an annual workplace giving campaign, which features the convenience of payroll deduction. Texas Tech employees have been a part of the campaign since 1994 and raised more than $469,000 in 2013.

Giving to the SECC is a great way to help change lives and make a difference in the future. What we donate today helps make a better tomorrow. Learn more.
