We practice the Korean martial art and Olympic sport of Taekwondo in
Holden Hall room 130 on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Get in shape, have fun, and meet people while learning to kick, punch, block, and dodge your way to self-defense proficiency!
We practice all aspects of Taekwondo- kicks, hand techniques, forms, sparring, self-defense, blocking, and evasion.
All experience levels welcome. No experience required.
FREE membership for Kukkiwon and World Taekwondo Federation (W.T.F.) Black Belts!* (see conditions below in red)
FREE belt tests for beginners up to and including the green belt test!** (see conditions below in black)
5 FREE workouts (within a 14-day period)!
You may start your 5 FREE workouts at any time. The only limitation is that the fifth free workout must be within 14 calendar days of the first free workout.
FREE safety equipment issued to new members.
$180/calendar year for new members.
$100/calendar year for returning members.
Affordable payment plan: 1st payment $35, then $20/month until paid in full.
Please bring a valid TTU student ID card and one valid government-issued picture ID to your first workout.
Although all required safety equipment is provided, each participant must sign a liability/indemnity waiver before taking part. If you're under 18, your parent/guardian must sign the waiver before you can participate.
*Conditions for FREE membership for Kukkiwon and W.T.F. Black Belts:
Must agree to teach at least once per week while enrolled in classes during membership period.
Must provide name, D.O.B., and dan or poom certificate number for verification of rank.
Must pass thorough skills evaluation before attending fifth workout.
Skill level must be commensurate to rank.
Must be a currently enrolled TTU student with no convictions for violent crime.
Refresher training is available.
Not eligible for free safety equipment.
Kukkiwon and W.T.F. Black Belts only.
Black Belts from other Taekwondo organizations may join as regular paying members, but will not be allowed to teach. Though not required for membership, conversion to Kukkiwon rank is now possible in some cases.
**Conditions for free testing for beginners:
Club uniform is required for testing. Purchase price is $40 and includes a white belt. This is a one-time purchase (unless the member wants more than one uniform). Uniforms that become torn, stained, discolored, or ill-fitting must be replaced.
There is no charge for the belt earned at a free belt test.
There is a $25 testing fee for each color belt test above the level of green belt.
