Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) & Alumni Assoc. present "Behavioral Economics: Is Your Decision Really Yours?" September 30 at 5:30pm
Standard economics assumes that human beings are rational, computationally efficient and able to make choices to maximize their happiness objectively. On the contrary, behavioral economics suggest that a human being may not make choices optimally when they are in difficult situations or when the information is presented to them in biased ways. Participants will learn tactics that businesses use to frame and influence a consumer's decision.
