Author and lifelong resident of the Southern High Plains, Alvin R. Lynn has spent fifteen years meticulously tracking Carson's 200-mile expedition from Fort Bascom to Adobe Walls. Kit Carson's involvement at the First Battle of Adobe Walls has been overlooked until now. Beginning his research in the 1990s, Alvin Lynn set out to fill that void in history and discover what really happened.
