Legal Studies Minor? Gain an Edge in the 2015 PreLaw Academy

The Texas Tech Pre-Law Academy is a four-week program for undergraduate students interested in attending law school and pursuing a career in the legal field. Students enrolled in the Pre-law Academy will spend approximately four weeks taking three classes at the Texas Tech University School of Law campus in Lubbock, Texas. During the second summer session, students also have the option to participate in an internship in the legal profession.

The mission of the Pre-Law Academy is to prepare students for the competitive law school admissions process and the demands of law school, while also helping students to create a vision for themselves as law students and lawyers.

As a student of the 2015 Pre-Law Academy you will take 3 courses: (COMS 3314) Argumentation and Debate, (PLAW 4301) Lawyering Skills: Legal Analysis and Advocacy, and (PLAW 3101) Seminar in the Legal Profession. Each course will count towards credit for the Legal Studies Minor.

· Communication Elective = COMS 3314: Argumentation and Debate

· Elective = PLAW 4301: Lawyering Skills: Legal Analysis and Advocacy

· Elective = PLAW 3101: Seminar in the Legal Profession.

Applications for the summer 2015 Pre-Law Academy are now available at prelaw.ttu.edu and are due November 21, 2014.
