Texas Book Festival to Feature Three TTUP Authors

Texas Tech University Press is proud to announce that several of our authors will be featured at the 2014 Texas Book Festival in Austin, Texas! The festival will be held Oct. 25–26, 2014 at the State Capitol and surrounding grounds. The Texas Book Festival is free and open to the public.

On Saturday, Oct. 25, Adán Medrano, author of Truly Texas Mexican: A Native Culinary Heritage in Recipes, will demonstrate recipes from his cookbook at Central Market Cooking Tent from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.

Also on Saturday, Oct. 25, Broadus Spivey and Jesse Sublett, co-authors of Broke, Not Broken: Homer Maxey's Texas Bank War, will be featured with authors Carmen Boullosa and Cynthia Leal Massey in Room E2.016 of the Capitol Extension building from 4:15 pm to 5:15 pm. The topic of their discussion will be "Telling the Texas Story: Truth and Fiction in Lone Star History."
