CAMPUS CRIME ALERT NOTIFICATION

In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, the Texas Tech Police Department is giving notice of four incidents of indecent exposure at the Texas Tech University Library.

The most recent incident, which occurred on October 23, 2014 at 8:00 PM on the 3rd Floor Stack Level, was documented in Case # 14-1750.

SUSPECT INFORMATION

In each occurrence an unknown male intentionally exposed his genitals to female students who were sitting alone in study carrels.

The suspect has been described as a dark skinned black male, approximately 5'7" to 6'0" tall, small to average build, with short hair.  In the first two incidents the suspect was described as wearing a red t-shirt and dark pants.  In the third incident he was described as being approximately 19 to 20 years old, wearing a black t-shirt, dark pants, short hair and slight facial hair.  In the fourth incident he was described as wearing a dark blue shirt and dark jeans or sweat pants.

To date, the suspect has not been located or identified.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Persons who may have witnessed activity related to this incident or who believe they can identify a suspect in case numbers 14-1623, 14-1688 or 14-1677 are encouraged to contact the Texas Tech Police Department.

The Texas Tech Police Department cannot currently confirm there is a continuing threat to the campus community. However, as two similar reports have been received, campus residents are encouraged to remain vigilant of their surroundings and to immediately report suspicious activity by utilizing emergency blue phones, calling 9-911 from campus land lines, 911 from cell phones, or for non-emergencies by calling 806-742-3931 or 806-743-2000.
