Call for Black History Month Calendar

The Cross-Cultural Academic Advancement Center is composing a campus wide calendar for Black History Month. Interested organizations and departments who like to be included in the calendar should submit their event to the Cross-Cultural Academic Advancement Center by Jan 30th either in person at Doak Hall 101 or via crosscultural@ttu.edu. For questions contact the center at 806-742-8681.

Benefits include the following; your organization and event featured in a campus wide marketing promotion; event shared with the local community electronically; event featured on TTU affiliated sites and social media services; option to distribute calendar and other opportunities.


About Black History Month:

Black History Month is a nationwide observance recognized during the month of February. The annual celebration serves as a time to honor the achievements by Black Americans and recognizing the role African Americans had in U.S. history. It has officially been observed since 1976.

About the CCAAC:

The Cross-Cultural Academic Advancement Center connects students, faculty and staff to programs and resources across the university to promote access, respect, inclusiveness and community regardless of personal culture.  One of the strengths of the Cross-Cultural Center is the collaboration we have with student organizations.  Through various partnerships, the Cross-Cultural Center has helped advance programs such as El Grito, Lunar New Year, Holi, and various activities celebrating heritage months.
