Weekend Exploring Liberty: Freedom, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation

The Free Market Institute and the Institute for Humane Studies will co-host Freedom, Entrepreneurship, and Innovationan IHS On-Campus Education program, in the Rawls College of Business on the weekend of March 6-7, 2015. 

IHS On-Campus Education programs examine the historical, economic, and philosophical foundations of a free society and how these principles apply to contemporary issues. The programs bring together undergraduates and recent graduates for an introduction to classical liberal ideas through an informative and enjoyable collection of lectures, discussions, and evening socials.

Featured speakers include:

  • Prof. Peter Boettke - University Professor of Economics and Philosophy at George Mason University

  • Mr. John Papola - CEO and Creative Director at Emergent Order

  • Dr. Edward Stringham - Associate Professor of Business Economics at Texas Tech University

  • Dr. Robert Lawson - Jerry M. Fullinwider Centennial Chair in Economic Freedom at Southern Methodist University

  • Dr. Steve Bradley - Associate Professor of Management and Entrepreneurship at Baylor University

Students, faculty and staff affiliated with Texas Tech University may register to attend the seminar at no charge. Registration includes all lectures, educational materials, meals and snacks. Register here.

Members of the local community who have no current or recent university affiliation are welcome to attend, but must pay a $150 registration fee. Such individuals should use the registration link provided above. After completing that registration form, a Free Market Institute staff member will provide further instructions to pay the fee and complete registration.
