“Documented” Film Screening
Monday, March 2nd | 7pm | Merket Center
How do you define “American”?
The Cross-Cultural Academic Advancement Center presents a special screening of a film that is sure to alter your sense of justice.
Documented:
A film by an undocumented American.
One man’s journey through a broken system.
About the Film:
In 2011, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Jose Antonio Vargas outed himself as an undocumented immigrant in the New York Times Magazine. 'Documented' chronicles his journey to America from the Philippines as a child; his journey through America as an immigration reform activist/provocateur; and his journey inward as he re-connects with his mother, whom he hasn't seen in 20 years.
Jose Antonio Vargas will be in attendance and will participate in a Q&A Forum following the film.
