Expenses Paid--ACLU Student Conference in DC

Invitation on behalf of the TTU Honors College:


Dear Friend of the ACLU of Texas,


The ACLU nationwide Membership Conference is an opportunity for students
to meet up with others who believe in liberty and justice, to hear
well-known speakers and to attend workshops that provide skills and the
inspiration to stand up for freedom.  The ACLU of Texas is proud to pay
for the registration fees and 2 nights' stay in Washington, DC, for 25
Texas students who wish to attend!  The conference begins on Sunday,
June 8 at 2 PM and concludes on Tuesday, June 10 at 2 PM.  To view the

In addition, the ACLU of Texas will provide airfare for 10 of the 25
Texas students selected based on financial need.

To apply for a space, please send the following to information to
  thayes@aclutx.org>  by May 2, 2008.

1.      your full name,
2.      year of school,
3.      name of your school,
4.      area of study
5.      phone number
6.      email address, and
7.      a brief (no more than one page) summary of why you would like to
attend the conference.

 

If you are applying for financial assistance with travel, please include
a short paragraph explaining your financial need. 

 

All information must be emailed to :thayes@aclutx.org
by Friday, May 2.  We will notify all

students of selection by Tuesday, May 6. 

Incomplete applications will be considered last.
