Planning to use Blackboard this Fall? Don’t wait another minute!

Step 1: Development Phase
If this is the first time you’ve used Blackboard for a course, you need to request the “development” course section in Blackboard where you can develop your course. Go to http://www.tltc.ttu.edu/blackboard/courserequest.asp and fill out an individual form for each Blackboard course you would like created.

Step 2: Live Semester-based Phase:
Then, once you have developed the course, you will need to request the “live” course rollover shell that will be connected to Banner and auto-populated with all the students for the course. Go to http://appserv.itts.ttu.edu/BlackboardCourseRequest/default.aspx to request that shell. Something to remember – you must fill out this request form each semester in order to request the semester-based Blackboard “live” course shell. You will see enrolled students in the Gradebook, but they will not have access to the course until two days before the semester begins.

Blackboard training and online support information:
Please visit the TTU Blackboard QuickStart Guide at www.tltc.ttu.edu/quickstart.asp where you will find detailed how-to guides and tutorials for many of the Blackboard tools and functions.

You may also be interested in attending the Blackboard Fundamentals Training. You can sign up for that training at www.tltc.ttu.edu/events.
