Think Global, Act Local: Get Your Green Up
Join us for a community day event, "Think Global, Act Local: Get Your Green Up" on October 16th from 2-4PM at the Museum of Texas Tech University (3301 4th Street). The Climate Science Center is partnering with the Museum of Texas Tech University to host an event featuring over 15 local organizations for sustainable living. The event will include a presentation by Katharine Hayhoe and interactive displays from the organizations, which will be highlighting information on water, renewable energy, gardening, recycling, lighting, wildlife, and more. This event is in conjunction with the Museum's new exhibit Green Revolution, open until January 15, 2017.Green Revolution is a multi-platform exhibit that focuses on several major themes: waste, energy, green pioneers, gardening and composting, green construction, and our carbon footprint. After visiting the booths, the audience is encouraged to go see the Green Revolution exhibit. This version of Green Revolution is based on an exhibition originally created by the Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago, and its Black Creativity Council, and is made available by the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service.
