Samsung has stopped selling ALL Galaxy Note7 phones and issued an expanded recall due to battery cell issues which may cause it to overheat while charging and in some cases, catch fire. This includes original Note7 phones, as well as replacement phones obtained after Samsung’s initial recall in September. In addition, Samsung and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) have recommended that customers immediately stop using and power down these devices.
The following recall options are available for individuals who have purchased a Galaxy Note7:
- Exchange your current Galaxy Note7 for another Samsung smartphone and replacement of any Note7 specific accessories with a refund of the price difference between devices; or
- Contact your point of purchase to obtain a refund.
Additional monetary incentives, as outlined in the U.S. Note7 Refund and Exchange Program, may apply.
