Throughout this course, you will be equipped with an introduction to the developmental processes of childhood, and the biological and environmental factors that interact to influence these processes. Specifically, this course will survey development in three domains: 1) physical, 2) cognitive, and 3) social and emotional development, from conception through adolescence. Many controversial topics will be discussed (sex education, discipline strategies, and breastfeeding, to name a few). Students tend to do well and have provided positive reviews of the class.
