This year we have three different majors as winners of the Huffman Poetry Award!
This is the first time we’ve ever had a unanimous #1 among the three judges who submit their rankings individually.
- Valencia by Catherine Ragsdale (Spanish)
- October in the Suburbs by Rachel Smith (Physics)
- Ghazal for Bones by Victoria Larriva (Math)
The judges this year were Dr. Robin Germany (art), Dr. Robert Peaslee (Media & Comm), and Dr. Matthew Hunter (English). Congratulations all around! The poems are posted in the 3rd floor display case for everyone's viewing.
