PSS 3312 - Sustainable Fruit and Nut Crop Production

Are you interested in the local foods movement and knowing where and how your food is produced?  The Department of Plant and Soil Science is launching a new concentration Fall Semester 2018 in Local Food and Wine Production Systems.  The first course to be taught will be PSS 3312, Sustainable Fruit and Nut Crop Production.  It provides an introduction to principles and practices of sustainable production of temperate tree fruits, nuts, and berry crops.

Dr. Edward Hellman, Professor of Viticulture and Enology, will teach the new course from the TTU Fredericksburg regional teaching site where he is now based.  The class will be taught face-to-face in Fredericksburg and synchronously via video conference to student on the TTU Lubbock Campus and elsewhere.  The class will be taught on Wednesday night from 6:00 pm to 8:50 pm.
