Symposium participants will learn practical steps to quail management on rangeland and be able to ask specific questions as they interact with experts in wildlife habitat management. The half-day symposium is sponsored by Park Cities Quail and presented by the NRHC and Quail-Tech Alliance. Seating is limited. The event will feature five presenters with extensive wildlife management experience and include a bird dog training demonstration as well as a chuck wagon lunch for participants.
Presenters will include:
- Dr. Brad Dabbert, Burnett Foundation Endowed Professor of Quail Ecology at Texas Tech University
- Keith Blair, founder of Red Buffalo LLC, a land stewardship company specializing in prescribed fire for wildlife habitat management, restoration, and wildfire prevention
- Matthew Coffman, Grazing Lands Specialist with the Southern Rolling Plains Grazing Lands Coalition, Natural Resource Conservation Service
- John McLaughlin, West Texas Quail Program Leader, Texas Parks and Wildlife Department
- Gabe Gaudern, Ranch Wildlife Manager, Tongue River Ranch
