DO YOU WANT TO GROW AS A LEADER?

The Talent Development Team of Human Resources is excited to continue our summer book club to those employees who have taken part in the Leadership Series training sessions. The book selection, “Leaders Eat Last by Simon Sinek, and format of this summer’s session have been designed to assist leaders in enhancing employee performance, morale, and engagement.

What does it mean to be a leader? Why do we have them? Leaders Eat Lasts explores everything from brain chemistry, Fortune 500 companies, to cavepeople to help us know what it truly means to be a leader. Full of stories, research, and profound insights, Leaders Eat Lasts by Simon Sinek is a book every leader should read.

Registrants will meet five times during the course of the summer on June 14, June 28, July 19th, August 2, and August 16 during the lunch hour. Be sure to bring your lunch, a copy of the book, and a willingness to develop as a leader!

This year we’re adding some features to make book club easy for you:

  • Self-contained units: every 5 week session is self –contained so even if you have one or two crazy weeks you can still join the rest of the club and pick right back up.
  • The Master Plan: We’ll keep you on track with the specific pages to read each week so you finish the book by the end of the club.
  • The Essentials: Had a busy week and can’t read everything? We got your back. We give you the critical few pages to read each week so you can discuss the book at the club like a pro…don’t worry, people won’t know the difference.
  • Deep Cuts: For our leadership development junkies, we’ll be sending optional articles, videos, and possible team builders each week with the topics discussed. Now you can go even deeper into book club than ever before.
