“Whey” To Go – Protein Supplementation study

We are looking for apparently healthy, individuals between 19-45 years, with a body mass index (BMI) between 25 to 40 kg/m2 for a research study that includes a 12-weeks protein supplementation.

The purpose of the research study is to identify the benefits of whey protein supplementation on maintaining the blood pressure at healthy range.

 

You will have a chance of being in the intervention group who get protein supplementation or be in the control group. The participants in the protein group will be consuming protein drinks before lunch and dinner for 12 weeks. All participants will otherwise follow usual dietary habits and physical activity. During the study we will monitor your blood pressure, body composition, calorie expenditure and grip strength. There will be a minimum of 5 visits (~1-2 hours per visit)  during the study for all participants. Visits can be scheduled at a convenient time. Research participation is completely private. 

Participants will receive $60 for completion of the study. Furthermore, participation in this study could be beneficial to you and this could be your gateway to a healthier you!
