Glass Ambassador Vision:
This is a focus group of graduate students and Environmental Health & Safety personnel focused on fostering transparency in the management of chemical, biological and physical hazards that may be present in research laboratories, studios and educational activities of Texas Tech University.
Glass Ambassador Mission:
This organization creates a unique opportunity for students to voice their concerns, as well as, provide insight to existing faculty safety committees charged with guiding current and future safety policy at Texas Tech University. By partnering with the Department of Environmental Health & Safety, these graduate students will become leaders in promoting the culture of safety in their colleges and throughout campus.
Possible points of discussion are:
- PPE usage
- Barriers to safety compliance
- Reporting
- Special concerns for international students
Our first session will be September 27, 2018 12PM-1PM in the Experimental Sciences Building, Room 120. Lunch will be provided.
