The Graduate Assembly of Texas Tech is inviting all TTU Graduate Students and Post-docs to join us for the Fall Cricket Tournament this coming September 29th. We are still accepting registration for a team of 6 players. Registration is FREE. More information below:
Team Players:
1) Team members should only consist of GRADUATE STUDENTS and TTU Postdocs.
2) One team should consist of 6 members.
3) GA will provide the tennis balls in order to be consistent throughout the game.
4) Team will provide their own bat and gear
5) GA will provide the beverage and light snacks during the tournament.
6) Umpires and scorers will be determined by organizer and team captains.
7) Email Charity Embley [charity.g.embley@ttu.edu] for registration.
8) Team captains are urged to be at the cricket pitch by 8:00 AM for a quick meeting and help set-up the boundaries.
9) Volunteers are also encouraged to help distribute food and beverage. Contact Charity.
GAME SET-UP:
1) We will start with an elimination round and we will determine during the game which team is playing against another team.
2) From the elimination round, there will be a semi-final round.
3) Semifinal winners will play the championship round.
4) Any disputes will be resolved by the organizer (GA) and umpires.
PRIZE:
1) Champion - will receive a trophy. Engraving will be the responsibility of the winning team.
2) Runner up- will receive a certificate
