Ruthie Foster, a three-timed Austin Music Awards winner and three-time Grammy-nominated Blues artist, will perform as part of the 2018-2019 Presidential Lecture & Performance Series.
Foster's distinct vocal style has been influenced by her favorite artists, including Aretha Franklin and Mavis Staples. She is the winner of seven Blues Music Awards, the Grand Prix du Disque award from the Academie Charles-Cros in France and a Living Blues Critics' Award for Female Blues Artist of the Year.
